Children’s Storytime and Craft: A Scientist’s Spotlight

Children will listen to empowering stories of Black history through science that encourage, inspire and uplift. Participants will also have the opportunity to conduct a science experiment.
Spotlight on an African American Athlete: Tots Storytime and Play

Bring out the inner athlete in your little one with story time and games where they can learn about an African American athlete.
Black Inventors Workshop for Children

Did you know that the stoplight, the IBM personal computer, and elevator doors were all invented or invented by African Americans? Discover the unique and innovative inventions and amazing achievements of African Americans. Participants will use their imagination at the end to create their own inventions.

Come share your stories and learn about oral history with your fellow community members! Please bring a laptop or phone to record your interviews, and invite a friend, family member, neighbor, or make a new friend to the program to interview!
Legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen

Learn about the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen through the Heart of the Carolina Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen. There is an interactive component to this presentation to celebrate, empower, and inspire.
